Cho Ray Hospital receives honourable mention at International Hospital Federation awards

Cho Ray Hospital has received an honourable mention at the International Hospital Federation Awards in 2021.

The 44th World Hospital Congress of the International Hospital Federation was held in Barcelona, Spain, from November 8-11.

The International Hospital Federation (IHF) announced the winners of the IHF Awards at a ceremony at the 44th World Hospital Congress on November 10.

Cho Ray Hospital receives honourable mention in the “American College of Healthcare Executives Excellence Award for Leadership and Management” category.

Participating in this award for the first time, Cho Ray Hospital registered for 2 categories: “American College of Healthcare Executives Excellence Award for Leadership and Management” with an entry entitled “The quality standards to assess the leadership and management competencies of the heads of departments and the head nurses”; and “Austco Excellence Award for Quality and Patient Safety” with the entry entitled “Implementing patrol activities of patient safety units”.

In both categories, Cho Ray Hospital entered the final round and received an honourable mention at the award ceremony held in Barcelona along with many famous hospitals and healthcare organisations from the US, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Oman, UAE, etc.

The IHF Awards were launched in 2015 and have been recognised worldwide as the premier awards that honour hospitals and healthcare organisations.

This year's IHF Awards have 6 categories, attracting 250 entries from hospitals and healthcare organisations from 38 countries and territories around the world.

IHF is an international non-profit organisation founded in 1929, with its headquarters located in Geneva (Switzerland). IHF is currently the world's largest and most prestigious international organisation for hospitals, with a mission to support, connect and form interactive channels between hospitals around the globe.

Cho Ray Hospital officially became a member of IHF on August 5, 2021. Cho Ray Hospital is also the first and only hospital in Vietnam to have been recognised as a member of this prestigious organisation.
