Speaking at a meeting on June 19, the Deputy PM said that he shares the difficulties that news agencies are faced with in covering every aspect of life in a prompt and accurate manner.

He added that many press agencies are struggling with falling ad revenues as a result of the advent of new forms of mass media, including social networks.

Praising the efforts of domestic press agencies, Deputy PM Dam expressed his belief that those in the industry would overcome the challenges in order to grow further and fulfill their tasks.

On the same day, head of the Central Commission for Education and Communications, Vo Van Thuong, visited and extended his congratulations to the Ho Chi Minh Journalists Association on the occasion of Vietnamese Press Day.
