Deputy PM requests further support for teachers of children with disabilities

The Government leader made the request at a programme held in Hanoi on November 15, to honor 48 outstanding teachers who are working at care centres for children with disabilities across the country.

He hailed that the teachers not only helped to equip children with knowledge but also fuelled them with determination to overcome difficulties.
He applauded the teachers’ boundless energy in fulfilling their mission of nurturing the country’s future generation.
Citing a figure that only six out of 100 children with disabilities in Vietnam attend schools, he stressed that the renovation of the education sector, including education for kids with disabilities, is the responsibility of the entire community.
At the event, each outstanding teacher received a certificate of merit from the Vietnam Youth Union (VYU) and a saving book worth VND10 million.
Launched in 2015 by the VYU, the programme has honored 166 teachers who are working in poor localities, border areas, sea and island regions, and educational centres for children with special needs.
