Dong Cuu Village’s lockdown lifted, Hanoi free of virus outbreak

Hanoi officially removed blockade from Tren Hamlet in Dong Cuu Village, Dung Tien Commune in Hanoi’s outlying district of Thuong Tin on May 14, after 28 days of isolation.
This was the last outbreak of Covid-19 virus in Hanoi.
The People’s Committee of Thuong Tin District has asked Dung Tien Commune to quickly restore business activities while maintaining measures to prevent the coronavirus.

Previously, the People’s Committee of Thuong Tin District issued a decision on medical quarantine on Tren Hamlet, in Dong Cuu Village, beginning from April 16 due to Patient 266 having tested positive for SARS-CoV-2.
As many as 572 households, with a total of 1,896 people, were placed under quarantine and 100% of them have tested negative for Covid-19 virus.
Bac Giang establishes more isolation areas for epidemic fight

The provincial People’s Committee of Bac Giang province on 18 March decided to
use Ravatel Inn Hotel to establish the isolation area for foreign experts who
are suspected to Covid-19.

Covid-19: Hundreds of citizens free from medical isolation
Hundreds of people have been released after being confirmed without symptoms of the acute respiratory disease caused by the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) following 14 days of medical isolation.

With no new Covid-19 case confirmed Thursday morning, Vietnam entered its 28th consecutive day without community infection of the virus. For a week now, the nation’s Covid-19 count has remained unchanged at 288, 36 of them still under treatment and the rest recovered. Among the active cases, six have tested negative once and 11 others at least twice.
Hanoi provides medical supplies to help Moscow cope with Covid-19
On behalf of the Party organisation, administration and people of Hanoi, Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung presented medical supplies to the Russian capital of Moscow and the Vietnamese community in the country on May 12, in support of efforts to tackle Covid-19.
