Export-import turnover through Mong Cai reaches 2.8 billion USD

The export-import turnover through the Mong Cai Border Gate in Quang Ninh Province reached more than 2.8 billion USD in the first nine months of 2023, up 6.5% from the same period last year.

According to the Mong Cai Customs Bureau, imports were estimated at 1.72 billion USD while imports were 1.1 billion USD.

Budget collection through the checkpoint reached 1,176 billion VND (48.3 million USD), up 7% from a year earlier.

During the January-September period, Mong Cai customs also handled immigration procedures for 2.6 million people and cleared 137,000 vehicles with 769,000 tonnes of goods through the border gate.

The Mong Cai Customs Bureau is working on digital transformation measures to facilitate export-import activities and enhance support for enterprises.

Five items post export value of over 10 billion USD
In the first eight months of this year, five export items of Vietnam posted a turnover of more than 10 billion USD, accounting for 58.4% of Vietnam’s total.

The total import and export revenue of Vietnam reached 436.44 billion USD in the first eight months of this year, down 12.8% or 64.21 billion USD from the same period in 2022, according to the General Department of Customs.
