Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son, under the delegation of President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, will attend the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II in London, the UK, on September 19, according to the Foreign Ministry.

Queen Elizabeth II was the longest-serving monarch in British history, reigning for 70 years (1952-2022). She passed away on September 8 at the age of 96.
Vietnamese leaders on September 9 offered condolences to the Royal Family, Government, parliament, and people of the UK over the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
A jade bowl and other antiques belonging to Queen Nam Phuong, wife of Vietnam's last king, fetched high prices at a recent auction in France.
