Hanoi agrees to resume flights with Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang

The Hanoi government has agreed to resume regular flights between the capital city and Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang with one round trip per day on each route.

Airlines are allowed to operate at 50% of their maximum seat capacity for the period from October 10-20.

Passengers from Ho Chi Minh City must be fully vaccinated, with the last dose having been received at least 14 days prior to the departure date, or show certificates of having recovered from Covid-19 within no more than six months.

They also need to present negative test results from within the 72 hours prior to the flight and comply with the Ministry of Health’s guidelines to get onboard.

Upon arrival in Hanoi, such passengers will have to quarantine at public quarantine facilities or designated hotels for seven days, during which they will be required to cover the quarantine and testing costs.

After that they will continue to monitor their health at home for another seven days.

For passengers from Da Nang, they are allowed to quarantine at home and get tested on the first and seventh days.

Regular flights between Hanoi and other domestic destinations remain suspended.
