BAC GIANG - According to the Bac Giang Provincial Taxation Department, since the beginning of the year, the tax sector has collected more than 5.2 trillion VND (224.8 million USD) of tax debt.
Of which, more than 500 billion VND was transferred from 2023, the rest was collected from this year's debt, including tax, fee, land revenue, late payment and others.
Officers of the Lang Giang - Luc Nam Regional Tax Branch review tax debt cases to collect debts according to regulations. |
This result was achieved because the Tax sector has focused on implementing Directive No. 04/CT-BTC dated October 15, 2018 of the Minister of Finance on strengthening debt management and tax debt collection enforcement to reduce outstanding debts.
At the same time, the taxation department has actively compared and processed tax arrears data on the application program to ensure there is sufficient and accurate basis for debt collection.
The Provincial Taxation Department and regional taxation branches have enhanced coordination with commercial banks, immigration agencies and competent agencies to grasp information about accounts and invoices, thereby applying appropriate debt management and enforcement measures.
The Provincial Taxation Department promptly publicizes the list of enterprises with large and long-standing tax debts on mass media.
This year, the Tax sector targets to reduce 80% of the total recoverable debt from 2023; have outstanding debt from collectable taxes and fees 5% lower than the total amount of assigned budget revenue plan and ensure the criteria set by the General Department of Taxation and the Provincial People's Committee.
