Import and export tax collection increases nearly 43% year on year
BAC GIANG - Since the beginning of the year, the Customs Department controlling the Industrial Parks in Bac Giang (Customs Department) province has collected more than 1,318 billion VND (56 million USD) in import and export taxes, increasing nearly 43% over the same period last year and reaching nearly 78% of the yearly plan.
The above tax amount was collected from 891 production and business enterprises in the area. This result was achieved because the Customs Department created the most favorable conditions for customs clearance of goods for import and export enterprises.

Also, the Department deployed an automatic customs clearance system, online public services... to support enterprises in carrying out tax and customs procedures at the soonest manner.
The provincial Customs Department has reduced the time for handling administrative procedures by about 35%; received and processed nearly 273,000 customs declaration sheets (up nearly 16,000 sheets compared to the same period last year). At the same time, the department has implemented 24/7 electronic tax payment for enterprises.
Recently, about 54 % of enterprises in the "green channel" have carried out customs declarations. These enterprises do not have to inspect goods and customs clearance time is only a few seconds after completing the documents submitted to the electronic system.
Meanwhile, the enterprises in the "yellow channel" have customs clearance time of about 30 minutes and customs clearance time for enterprises in the "red channel" is no more than 8 hours.

Payment deadlines for value added tax (VAT), corporate income tax, personal income tax, and land rent in 2024 are set to be extended, involving a total tax value of nearly 84 trillion VND (3.3 billion USD).
Total State budget collection in the first four months of this year was estimated at 640.29 trillion VND (25.20 billion USD), equivalent to 43% of the yearly projection, representing a year-on-year rise of 10.7%, according to the General Department of Taxation.

The tax sector’s total state budget revenue in the first quarter of 2024 was estimated at 490.2 trillion VND (19.64 billion USD), equal to 33% of the estimate for the year, and 10.9% higher than the figure of the same period last year, the General Department of Taxation announced on April 9.
BAC GIANG - Implementing the Government's direction on circulating information in electronic form to determine land financial obligations of enterprises, Bac Giang is one of nine provinces and cities in the country selected for executing this program in the first phase, starting from March this year.
