Luc Ngan readies to welcome tourists in orange and pomelo season.
BAC GIANG – It is now citrus harvest season in Luc Ngan district (Bac Giang province). Seizing this opportunity, some local tourism cooperatives have built tours and routes, connected with travel agencies and prepared conditions to welcome tourists.
This year, the district grows more than 4,200 hectares of oranges and pomelos (equivalent to 2023). Due to the impact of storm No. 3 and its circulation, many gardeners suffered heavy damage (more than 2,000 hectares).

However, there are still some gardens in the area that can be harvested from October to the end of December. The communes with large areas of oranges and pomelos include Phuong Son, Hong Giang, Thanh Hai, Quy Son, Tru Huu, Tan Quang, Tan Moc...
This year, the People's Committee of Luc Ngan district postponed the organization of the Autumn - Winter Tourism Program, but a number of tourism cooperatives and gardeners in the area have actively promoted and introduced images of local land and people to connect and welcome visitors.

According to the representative of An Phu Trade and Tourism Cooperative in Tan Son commune, the unit has proactively connected and provided information to partners and tourists inside and outside the province as well as built tour schedules and routes to enhance promotion.
Currently, the Cooperative has received a number of tours to welcome guests this October to visit orange, pomelo and grape gardens in the communes of Quy Son, Thanh Hai, Tru Huu, Nam Duong... At the same time, it introduces guests to experience cultural, spiritual and ecological tourist attractions in the area.

Thanh Hai Commune Community Tourism Cooperative has contacted local gardeners to enhance the decoration of their gardens, prepare conditions to serve guests.
In addition to experiencing the ecological space, visitors can also harvest and buy fruit trees in the garden, while enjoying the typical culinary culture of ethnic minorities.

Luc Ngan district currently has 11 cooperatives providing tourism services, 12 accommodation establishments, 9 restaurants, 10 coffee and tea stores that meet the conditions for serving tourists.
Although many gardeners suffered heavy losses this year, some places still meet the conditions for serving tourists. The district has planned a number of eco-tourism development points associated with fruit gardens and beautiful destinations that suit the tourists' journeys.
