Number of tourists to Bac Giang increases by 45%
BAC GIANG - Since the beginning of the year, Bac Giang province has attracted more than 2.2 million tourists, increasing 45% over the same period last year, reaching nearly 90% of the yearly plan, reported the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Total tourism revenue is estimated at 1.5 trillion VND (over 65 million USD), up 40% over the same period last year.

Numerous visitors have flocked to popular relics, areas and tourist attractions such as Tay Yen Tu Spiritual - Ecological Tourism Complex (Son Dong district), Suoi Mo Ecological Tourism Area (Luc Nam district), Bau Tien Ecological Tourism Area (Luc Ngan district), Vinh Nghiem Pagoda (Yen Dung) and Bo Da Pagoda (Viet Yen township) among others.
This result was gained thanks to great effort of the province to successfully organize many major events that attracted a large number of local people and tourists.
Also, the province enhanced propaganda, promotion and launched cultural, sports and tourism activities so as to create a good impression on tourists.
Along with investing in construction and upgrading infrastructure, some tourist areas and sites in Son Dong, Luc Ngan, Luc Nam and Yen The have actively innovated their activities and built attractive and unique tourism products such as cultural experience models, folk games and performances of local intangible cultural heritage.
In the last months of the year, the provincial Culture sector will coordinate with localities and related units to further stimulate the tourism, create conditions for travel businesses to expand the market, connect tourist areas and destinations in the province to tours and tourist routes of other provinces.
The tourism sector also advises on organizing conferences on tourism development linkage, sweet fruit season tourism week as well as the survey teams to introduce tourist areas, destinations, craft villages and fruit growing areas, typical agricultural products of the province...
The province targets to welcome about 2.5 million tourist arrivals by the end of 2024.
