Party Central Committee discusses socio-economic reports

Members of the 12th Party Central Committee on October 9 discussed a draft report summarising the implementation of the socio-economic strategy in the 2011-2020 period and the building of a plan for the 2021-2030 period, as part of their ongoing 11th session.
During their third sitting day, chaired by Politburo member and Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, they also gave opinions to a draft report on the socio-economic situation in the 2016-2020 period and the socio-economic development plan for the 2021-2025 period.

In the afternoon, members of the committees and delegates worked in group on a report on the socio-economic situation in 2019 and the State budget in the year.
They also commented on a draft plan for socio-economic development for 2020, budget estimate in 2020 and the budget-finance plan for the 2020-2022 period.
Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Quoc Khanh led a Vietnamese delegation to attend the 8th Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) Intersessional Ministerial Meeting which took place in Beijing, China, on August 3.
Women’s rights and climate change were the focus of a discussion within the framework of the 41st session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, Switzerland on June 28.
The 11th plenum of the Party Central Committee (PCC), 12th tenure, opened in Hanoi on October 7 under the chair of Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong.
The Vietnam – Romania Joint Committee on Economic Cooperation convened its 16th session in Bucharest, Romania on October 4 under the chair of Vietnamese Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Tuan Anh and Romanian Minister for Business Environment, Commerce and Entrepreneurship Stefani Radu Oprea.
