The event was attended by a number of departments, branches and sectors of the province, districts, township and city as well as more than 300 members of clubs of 19 future Quan Ho villages from the districts of Hiep Hoa, Lang Giang, Yen Dung, and Bac Giang city.

At the festival, 19 teams representing 19 future Quan Ho villages performed the ancient Quan Ho tune “Moi nuoc, moi trau” without accompaniment.

These villages have communal houses, pagodas, shrines, ponds and lake so they maintain Quan ho singing in festivals or perform Quan ho on boats with three generations participating. The authorities are now verifying to recognize them as Quan Ho villages.

Meritorious Artist Van Tan, Chairman of the Provincial Quan Ho Culture Association portrays Uncle Ho in the performance "Uncle Ho with artists" to welcome the Festival.

The teams had attractive performances, with many smooth, “resonant, deep and bouncy” voices that were loved by the audience.

This offered an opportunity for the male and female singers to exchange, learn and share skills and performance methods as well as accumulate performance experience to serve the local movement.

Bac Ninh works to promote the value of Quan Ho folk singing
