See-off ceremony held for volunteers serving SEA Games 31

(BGO) - On May 12 afternoon, the Youth Federation, Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Education and Training in Bac Giang province held see-off ceremony for volunteers serving the 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 31).

To ensure best organization, local Organizers for badminton at SEA Games 31 in Bac Giang province selected 77 volunteers of teachers and students who were provided with knowledge, general skill, reception and sport protocol, information about SEA Games 31, local sports and tourism.

At the ceremony, the volunteers committed to exert every effort to fulfill the assigned tasks; contribute to general success of the Games; actively and effectively promote the image of friendly and civilized Bac Giang people; introduce beauty land of hospitable province to international friends.

During SEA Games 31, the volunteers are in charge of picking up the guests, coachs, athletes and referees from participating countries; providing travel and transport instruction at the competition venue, accommodation place; interpreting and serving at the competition place, medical facilities, press room and hotel.

Previously in the morning of May 12, the Department of Foreign Affairs in Bac Giang province held rehearsal of volunteer activities to remind and adjust concerned issues.

To ensure safety during the event, all volunteers are requested to ink commitment to strictly follow legal regulations. Also, they are popularized some contents relating to the task to ensure order and security when serving delegations at the assigned position.
