Swiss National Council President pays official visit to Vietnam

President of the Swiss National Council Martin Candinas arrived in Hanoi on June 27, beginning an official visit to Vietnam at the invitation of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue.
He is joined by First Vice President of the National Council Eric Nussbaumer, Second Vice President of the National Council Maja Riniker and a number of other officials.

Candinas was born in Sumvitg, Switzerland, on August 20, 1980. He served as Second Vice President of the National Council during the 2020-2021 tenure and First Vice President of the National Council during the 2021-2022 tenure.
He became President of the Swiss National Council in 2022.
