Teachers' dedication to the cause of education
BAC GIANG - To celebrate the 42nd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20 (1982-2024), the Ministry of Education and Training has just organized a programme to honor outstanding teachers nationwide and recognize their great contributions to the cause of education, three of whom come from Bac Giang province.
The creator of Gold Medals
Devoting himself to his profession, Meritorious Teacher Nguyen Van Doa (born in 1979), Deputy Head of Physics Group in Bac Giang High School for the Gifted, has had outstanding achievements in training national and international teams of excellent students.

Graduated from the Physics Department of Hanoi National University of Education, Doa returned to work at his hometown school, Tu Son High School in Luc Nam district.
As a capable teacher, in 2009, he was assigned by the Department of Education and Training to teach at Bac Giang High School for the Gifted and to be in charge of training the Physics team.
He has had many scientific research topics serving the work of training excellent students at national and international levels. In response to his enthusiasm, his students always actively study, develop their abilities and strengths and achieve many high achievements.
From 2011 to 2024, his students won a total of 68 prizes at national competitions for excellent students, including 8 first prizes, 24 second prizes, and 36 third prizes.
Particularly, in regional and international competitions, his students bagged 7 prestigious medals (2 international Gold Medals, 1 Asian Gold Medal, 1 Asian Silver Medal, 2 Asian Bronze Medals, 1 European Silver Medal).
In 2024, the teacher had 2 students winning 3 Gold Medals in regional and international Physics Olympiads. He is also the first teacher in Bac Giang province to have many students consecutively winning high prizes in international competitions.
With 22 years of dedication to the teaching career, teacher Nguyen Van Doa has been awarded many Certificates of Merit by the Prime Minister, the Minister of Education and Training, the Vietnam Education Trade Union, and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province.
Notably, in 2023, he was awarded the title "Outstanding Citizen of Bac Giang" by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for his outstanding contributions and achievements in work together with "Outstanding Teacher" title by the President.
In 2024, on the occasion of the anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, teacher Doa was awarded the Third Class Labor Medal by the President.
Excellent management staff
With 25 years of experience in the profession, teacher Vu Thi Ngoc Bich (born in 1977), Headmistress of Thang Town Primary School in Hiep Hoa district has made many contributions to improving the educational effectiveness.

After graduating from high school in 1995, female student Vu Thi Ngoc Bich passed the entrance exam to the Faculty of Primary Education at Ha Bac College of Education. After completing the course, the young teacher went to work at Luong Phong Primary School No. 2 in Hiep Hoa district.
She spent time researching, preparing lesson plans, innovating teaching methods in each lesson and ways of communicating to suit students. From the 2005-2006 school year, she was assigned by the Department of Education and Training to participate in training to become a core primary school teacher in Bac Giang province.
In 2008, she was appointed as Vice Headmistress of Luong Phong Primary School No. 2. In her managerial position, Bich was always flexible in directing, operating, and assigning tasks in accordance with the teachers' abilities and strengths.
Together with the school Administration Board, she focused on improving the quality of comprehensive education, promoting students' qualities and developing their self-study ability in line with the new general education program.
In 2014, she passed the exam and became the Headmistress of Luong Phong Primary School No. 2. As the leader, she directed professional groups and teachers to pay attention to the work of homeroom teachers and innovate teaching methods.
To build a spacious school, she actively advised the People's Committee of the commune, called on sponsors and former students of the school to support investment in modern facilities and equipment for teaching and learning, bringing Luong Phong Primary School No. 2 to national standards.
In the 2017-2018 school year, she was transferred to the district's key educational unit, Thang Town Primary School, to implement the goal of developing key education.
At this school, Bich joined hands with the staff and teachers to continue maintaining the position in the group of leading schools in the province in terms of educational achievements.
The Department of Education and Training chose to build many models in teaching and learning here such as: Smart, friendly library; functional rooms for information technology, foreign languages and fine arts with many modern equipment. In 2023, the school was honored to receive the First Class Labor Medal from the President.
During her work, teacher Bich has been awarded Certificates of Merit 4 times by the Minister of Education and Training and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
Helping students open the door to the world
Teacher Nguyen Dau Giang (born in 1981), an English teacher, has guided many generations of students from extremely disadvantaged communes to urban areas of Bac Giang province to adulthood.

In 2003, after graduating from Ngo Gia Tu College in Bac Giang, Giang worked at Tan Lap Secondary School in Luc Ngan district. He exerted every effort to innovate his lessons so as to motivate students to be confident and enthusiastic in conversing in English during class.
Since graduating, he has strived to become a provincial-level excellent teacher and a key English teacher of Luc Ngan district. In 2010, he was transferred to Lien Chung Secondary School in Tan Yen district. After that, the district's Division of Education and Training assigned him to be in charge of training the district's excellent student team.
During this period, the 9th grade English team of Tan Yen district always led the province's achievements. In 2015, he was transferred to Cao Thuong town Secondary School.
To have lively lessons, in addition to textbooks, Giang pays attention to finding information through books, newspapers and the Internet; applying information technology to lectures. With experience and love for the profession, the teacher focuses on training thinking skills and building learning methods suitable for each group of students.
He directly trained 31 students to win prizes in provincial-level excellent student competitions. Many of his students, after entering high school, continued to participate in provincial and national English excellent student teams.
Since 2005 to present, teacher Nguyen Dau Giang has always achieved the title of excellent teacher at the provincial level, received 5 Certificates of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee Chairman and 1 Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Education and Training.
