Thirty-one players summoned for 32nd SEA Games

Head Coach Philippe Troussier on April 13 decided to summon 31 players for the national team, to prepare for the 32nd SEA Games.

The list includes players that participated at Doha Cup 2023 last month such as goalkeeper Quan Van Chuan, defenders Vu Tien Long and Phan Tuan Tai, midfielders Nguyen Duc Viet and Khuat Van Khang and forward Nguyen Quoc Viet.

The French coach also called up young faces in the U20 Vietnam squad, namely goalie Cao Van Binh, defender Ho Van Cuong, midfielders Nguyen Duc Phu, Dinh Xuan Tien and forward Bui Vi Hao.

As scheduled, the team will gather for training from April 16 to 26 in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province before departing to Cambodia for SEA Games 32.

According to the SEA Games 32 football draw, the Vietnam U22 men’s football team is in Group B with Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Laos. Their first match is to play Singapore on April 30.
