Two "vital" bridges to be built in Bac Giang
BAC GIANG - The Railway Project Management Board (RPMB) (Ministry of Construction) has just commenced to build Cam Ly Bridge on National Highway 37, through Luc Nam District (Bac Giang Province) and a railway overpass on Kep-Ha Long railway line. Previously, the RPMB also started constructing the expanded Xuong Giang Bridge across Thuong River on the Hanoi-Bac Giang Expressway.
Cam Ly Bridge has a total investment of nearly 800 billion VND (over 34.1 million USD) from increased revenue and savings on regular expenditures of the Central budget.

The starting point of the project intersects with National Highway 37 at Km16+872 in Cam Ly commune; the end point is at Km20+139 in Bac Lung commune (both in Luc Nam district).
The total length of the route is about 3,267m. The scale of investment and construction includes a third grade plain road with 2 lanes, 12m wide roadbed; new Cam Ly road bridge of over 631m long (parallel to the current Cam Ly bridge) for exclusive exploitation of road traffic and railway overpass on the Kep-Ha Long railway line of nearly 288m which is designed with reinforced concrete, prestressed reinforced concrete and 12m wide.
The project is built to separate the bridge for road vehicles and the train, minimizing the impact on railway operations and exploitation; gradually completing National Highway 37 according to the plan.
The expanded Xuong Giang Bridge and its paths at both ends across the Thuong River on the Hanoi-Bac Giang Expressway, located in Bac Giang city have an investment cost of more than 170 billion VND (7.25 million USD) from the state budget.

According to the design, the project has a starting point at about Km117+440 in Tran Phu ward, the end point at about Km118+400 in Dong Son ward (both in Bac Giang city). The total length of the project is about 0.96km, of which the bridge is more than 301m long and the rest is the access road.
As schedule, the project will be completed late this year, helping reduce traffic congestion on Xuong Giang Bridge, accelerate trade exchange and connectivity, and promote socio-economic development in Bac Giang province.
BAC GIANG - The People's Council of Bac Giang province has just issued Resolution No. 12/NQ-HDND approving the policy to assign the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province as the competent authority to implement the investment project to build Ha Bac 1 bridge and the connecting road (Project) between Bac Ninh and Bac Giang provinces.
BAC GIANG- The Railway Project Management Board (under the Ministry of Transportation) on February 24 organised a ceremony to start the construction to expand Xuong Giang bridge and the roads to the bridge crossing the Thuong river on Hanoi-Bac Giang expressway in Bac Giang city.
The Hanoi People’s Committee has submitted a proposal to the municipal People’s Council for approval of investment plans and adjustments to several public investment projects, including the Tran Hung Dao, Tu Lien and Ngoc Hoi bridges.

BAC GIANG - According to the Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects for Traffic and Agricultural Works in Bac Giang Province, after more than 2 years of construction, the bridge section of the Dong Viet Bridge and its paths in Bac Giang City (Bac Giang province) was completed in December 2024. The remaining road is now being accelerated.
