Vietnam exempts visas for citizens from 13 nations from March 15
Accordingly, the waiver would be applicable to citizens from the Federal Republic of Germany, the French Republic, Italian Republic, Kingdom of Spain, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Russian Federation, Japan, Republic of Korea, Kingdom of Denmark, Kingdom of Sweden, Kingdom of Norway, Republic of Finland, and the Republic of Belarus.

The Government would exempt visas for citizens from the above countries and they can stay Vietnam for 15 days from the date of entry, no matter what visa types they currently hold or their purposes of entry on the basis of fully satisfying the conditions prescribed by Vietnamese laws.
The waivers will last for three years, starting from March 15, 2022 to March 14, 2025, and an extension could be considered in accordance with Vietnamese laws.
This resolution is effective immediately and replaces Resolution 21/NQ-CP dated February 28, 2020, Resolution 23/NQ-CP dated March 2,2020, Resolution 29/NQ-CP dated March 11, 2020, and Resolution 33/NQ-CP dated March 19, 2020 on the temporary suspension of unilateral visa exemptions.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is tasked with the assessment, evaluation and putting forward recommendations to the Government with regards to the extension, suspension or termination of the unilateral visa exemption policy specified in this Resolution.
The ministers, heads of the ministerial-level agencies, heads of Government-attached agencies, Chairmen of the People's Committees of the provinces and centrally-run cities and the relevant agencies shall be responsible for the implementation of this Resolution.
