Vietnamese culture-tourism week opens in Argentina

The Vietnamese Culture and Tourism Week opened in Buenos Aires, Argentina on October 25 on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the founding of Vietnam-Argentina diplomatic relations (October 25, 1973-2018).

The event drew representatives from the embassies of many countries in Argentina, the friendship associations of both countries, the Argentina-Vietnam Culture Institute (ICAV) and many travel firms and locals.

Addressing the event, a representative from the Vietnamese Embassy in Argentina introduced the history, cultural diversity and tradition of Vietnam as well as the country’s achievements.

Highlighting the tourism potential as well as famous landscapes of Vietnam such as Ha Long Bay, Sa Pa, Da Nang and Hue, the representative said Vietnam has become an attractive destination for Argentine tourists, with about 10,000 visitors per year.

Meanwhile, Secretary of Tourism of Santa Fe province, which is adjacent to Buenos Aires, Martin Bulos congratulated Vietnam on the country’s socio-economic attainments over the years, with average GDP growth of nearly 7%.

Bulos briefed participants on tourism in Santa Fe, underlining that the cultural week will promote friendship and mutual understanding between people of Argentina and Vietnam.

During the event, travel firms of both countries had a chance to meet and seek partnerships. A photo exhibition was also held to introduce Vietnam.

Bac Giang to organize first “Culture and Tourism Week 2019”
(BGO) – On the 10th anniversary of Quan ho folk song recognized by UNESCO as the Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Humanity, Ca Tru (Ceremonial) singing as world intangible cultural heritage in need of preservation  and ripen fruit season in Luc Ngan district, the People’s Committee in the northern province of Bac Giang has assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to hold the first provincial Culture and  Tourism Week 2019.
 
Northwestern culture to be featured at 6th Ban Flower Festival
The Ban Flower Festival 2019 in the northern mountainous province of Dien Bien will feature activities imbued with the cultural identities of the northwest region. 
 
VK Tech holds Vietnam – Korea culture exchange and presents scholarship to poor students
(BGO) – A culture exchange event has recently taken place at Vietnam Korean Vocational College of Technology (VK Tech) in the northern province of Bac Giang between the local College and Korean DeaJin University.  
 
Ho Chi Minh City Peace Culture Day
The Ho Chi Minh City Peace and Development Foundation and the Ho Chi Minh City's Peace Committee opened the Ho Chi Minh City Peace Culture Day, themed "For a Non-violent Society", in response to the UNESCO Programme of Action on a Culture of Peace and Non-Violence, in Ho Chi Minh City, on October 13.
 
Vietnamese culture popularised in Mexican university
The National School of Languages, Linguistics and Translation under the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and the Vietnamese Embassy in Mexico held a Day of Vietnamese Language and Cuisine and screened films to introduce Vietnamese culture to lecturers and students on October 5.
