Vietnamese designer to release new collection at New York Fashion Week
According to Pham Huy Can, CEO of SIXDO, the brand’s entourage started preparing for the New York release a year ago.
Cuong and Can also flew to the American city earlier this month to complete the final stages of the preparation and ensure that their show meets all of the prerequisite standards listed by the fashion week organizers.

"We will have the chance to experience new things at one of the world’s four fashion capitals," Can said. "Challenges we may encounter will be a test for our brand’s ability to develop, adapt, and reach further. We are ready for everything."
He added that the brand’s preparation for the show was almost complete.
Cuong recently shared a peek into the collection at a domestic fashion event, with various beauty queens and models - including Miss Universe Vietnam 2017 H’Hen Nie, Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 Ngoc Chau, and supermodel Vo Hoang Yen - showcasing his designs.
His latest collection was inspired by New York fashionistas’ unique and elegant vibes.
Cuong, 42, graduated in the top 20 of his class at the French fashion school Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne. He interned at Dior before returning to Vietnam and establishing his first brand DMC by Do Manh Cuong in 2007, then his second brand SIXDO in 2020.
His previous SIXDO collection was also unveiled in Sydney earlier this year.
