This year, the programme focused on commending teachers who had many initiatives in teaching methods, helping students to acquire knowledge effectively amidst the difficult conditions in remote and far-flung areas that have been heavily affected by the Covid-19 epidemic.
After more than two months of launching, the organisers have received 116 applications from 57 provinces, cities and organisations and units, from which a total of 50 typical and excellent teachers have been selected for the awards this year.
Also on this occasion, the Vietnam Youth Federation Central Committee and related units launched the programme “Journalism accompanies with teachers” for journalists, reporters, collaborators of press agencies, radio and television stations.
Participating works should reflect on the teachers and their outstanding initiatives. Entries should be sent to congtrithucthanhgiong@gmail.com no later than November 18.

Teachers head to mountainous areas to cultivate knowledge among ethnic children
Many young female teachers have willingly went to mountainous areas in the Truong Son mountain range in Quang Tri province, home to svillages of the Van Kieu and Ta Oi ethnic groups, to spread knowledge amongst the ethnic children. Despite their hardships, they have never complained about their situation but instead remain devoted to their students and teaching career.
