Vi Van Doc, belonging to Nung ethnic group, graduated from Bac Giang University of Agriculture and Forestry in 2019. Born in Ho Dap commune, Luc Ngan district, Ho has great love for forest and appreciates the values brought from green jungle, thus he always learns from his co-workers and seeks new solutions to improve efficiency in caring, protecting and exploiting forests.

The company is assigned to manage the large and stretching forest area with rough roads, Doc said. Regardless of difficulties, he volunteered to work in the most remote localities especially the communes of Cam Son, Ho Dap and Phong Van with total forest area of over 800 hectares. Every day, he regularly follows up the localities, guide, manage and supervise production teams to ensure techniques for planting, caring, protecting and exploiting forests.

He has researched and decided to use a technological software on smart phone integrated with the map of current forest and forestry land status to serve patrol and forest protection. Thus, some violations related to forests and forestry land have been timely detected for appropriate handling measures. The data is regularly updated on the system with name of the land lots, plant species, year of planting and planting area. This software helps to follow up the annual forest status and growth results.

According to Pham Van Hung, the company Deputy Director, Vi Van Doc contributes to fulfilling many yearly targets and key tasks of the company. Besides, he proactively helps his co-workers to effectively use forest and forestry land management software on smart phone.

In the past 2 years, Vi Van Doc was awarded many certificates of merit for his great contributions. Especially, he was honourly awarded certificate of merit by the provincial Confederation of Labour in May for his outstanding achievements in the emulative movement of “Good labour” and creative labour”.
