Around 1,500 people join Fun Run in response to ASIAD 19

Around 1,500 people participated in a fun run held by the Vietnam Olympic Committee in Bac Ninh province on March 8 in response to the Asian Games 19 (ASIAD 19).

The runners included athletes, public servants and students of the Bac Ninh Sports University.

The event is among a series of Fun Runs being hosted by the Olympic Council of Asia around the continent to promote the image of the Asian Games – a continental multi-sport event held every four years among athletes from all over Asia.

The ASIAD 19 will take place in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China from September 23 to October 8, featuring 40 sports with 61 disciplines and 482 events.

Themed ‘Heart to Heart, @Future’, the event is expected to attract the participation of sporting delegations from 45 countries and territories in Asia.
