Bac Giang athlete Dang Thi Huong wins 3 medals at Asian Jujitsu Championship 2024
BAC GIANG – As of May 8, Bac Giang athlete Dang Thi Huong (born 2011) won 3 medals at Asian Jujitsu Championship 2024, reported the representative of the Bac Giang provincial Center for Sports Training and Competition.
The event was held in the United Arab Emirates from May 1 – 8, luring more than 400 athletes from 30 countries and territories. This was the first international tournament that the Vietnamese Jujitsu Team attended this year.

At the championship, the Vietnam Jujitsu Team won 4 Gold Medals, 7 Silver Medals and 10 Bronze Medals. In the Asian youth championship event, Vietnamese martial artists bagged 5 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 2 bronze medals.
Bac Giang athlete Dang Thi Huong participated in 3 youth championship categories and won 1 silver medal in the Show content and 2 bronze medals in the Women's Fighting and Duo content.
Dang Thi Huong started training at the Bac Giang Jujitsu Team in 2022. The 2024 Asian Jujitsu Championship was her first competition at an international tournament.

Previously, this young athlete clearly demonstrated her talent when she won gold medal at the 2023 National Youth Jujitsu Championship after only one year of training with the team.
She is one of the Jujitsu athletes receiving special investment from the Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center to participate in the 2024 National Sports Festival.
