The event drew nearly 2,000 athletes, including over 200 professional athletes from 27 delegations of the provinces, cities and sectors across the nation to compete at two prize system: Professional one with 8 contents (5km selected women, 5km young women, 10 km selected men, 10km young men, women’s semi marathon, men’s semi marathon, women’s marathon, men’s marathon) and Amateur one with 6 contents for men and women (10km, semi marathon and marathon at the age groups of 16 – 34, 35 – 44 and over 45).

11 members of Bac Giang track and field delegation joined the championships and won 1 gold, 2 silvers and 1 bronze.

The gold winner was Nguyen Thi Oanh at the category of 5km selected women. It is her fourth consecutive victory with the achievement of 18 minutes 15 seconds.

Besides, Oanh and her teammate bagged a silver at 5km selected women content while Pham Tien San won a silver at men’s semi marathon category.
