Bac Giang conducts 2021 economic census from March 1
According to the provincial Statistic Office, the census aims to evaluate the growth in number, size and labour of economic establishments; production and business results; the level of information technology application; structure and labour distribution of establishments by locality and economic sector, and forms of ownership to meet the management requirements of the Party, State, ministries, agencies and localities.

Immediately after training at the central level, the provincial Steering Committee implemented the Prime Minister's decision, disseminating the content and plans of the census, processes and contents of questionnaires for businesses, administrative agencies, non-business units, individual production and business facilities, and religious establishments.
At the same time, it has provided training on professional skills, technology to use equipment and software for survey questionnaires; and matters related to decentralization, inspection and supervision. The census was scheduled to begin on March 1, 2021 for businesses and non-business units and July 1, 2021 for individual production and business facilities and religious establishments. The preliminary results are expected to be announced in December 2021 and the official outcomes will be publicized in the second quarter of 2022.
Speaking at the event, Vice Deputy Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Phan The Tuan affirmed that this is a census of great importance for the State’s management, direction, policy making and development orientation mapping. Therefore, it must be conducted following the set plan and schedule. Right after the conference, the district and commune Steering Committees need to urgently develop plans to carry out the census in their localities. They should promote communication campaigns for the census to achieve the best results, while encouraging organizations and individuals subject to the survey to actively participate in by providing complete and accurate information; maintain an uninterrupted information system during the information collection process.
The Steering Committees of districts, cities, communes, wards and townships need to well prepare areas and ensure the safety of the census, and pay attention to seriously and fully implementing Covid-19 prevention and control measures. They must monitor, check and take over data right in the field surveying process; and thoroughly apply information technology in all stages of the census.
