Bac Giang develops business skills on digital platforms
BAC GIANG - Many businesses, cooperatives, and production and business households in Bac Giang province have optimised e-commerce to promote and expand opportunities to find and connect with partners and consumers. However, the application still faces many difficulties.
According to the Department of Industry and Trade, since 2021, more than 5,000 businesses, cooperatives, and production and business households have created booths to promote and sell their products on domestic and foreign e-commerce platforms such as Voso, Postmart, Sendo, San24h, Shopee, Lazada and Alibaba.

Among them, many have received support in human resources training and guided to create accounts, conduct transactions, and maintain booths on e-commerce platforms.
Since the beginning of the year, the provincial Department of Industry and Trade has coordinated with the Vietnam E-Commerce and Digital Economy Agency and the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade; People's Committees of districts, townships and Bac Giang city; Vietnam - Korea Bac Giang College of Technology; and College of Industrial Techniques organised four training conferences to raise awareness of e-commerce, develop business skills on digital platforms, build brands and images for 130 businesses, cooperatives, and production households with provincial-level OCOP products and typical products, and more than 450 students.
However, currently many businesses and cooperatives cannot maintain booths on e-commerce platforms due to small- and medium-scale production and insufficient funding.
Many e-commerce platform participants do not have staff to manage the network, information technology data, products and stores, leading to difficulties and limitations in receiving information and fulfilling orders. In addition, many businesses and cooperatives in the province still lack a retail system.
Recently, Taka E-commerce Joint Stock Company (Hanoi) has built and developed the Taka e-commerce platform to help traditional stores sell their products on the platform. Specifically, when a customer buys products on the Taka platform, the platform automatically connects to the traditional store. Then the store can deliver the goods to the customer or the customer can pick up the products themselves.
The system automatically recommends the nearest location that sells the product customers want so they can have more choices. At the same time, the platform provides discounts for customers according to regulations.
Customers can withdraw discounted money for spending or accumulation for future purchases. In addition, the Taka e-commerce platform creates favourable conditions for young people who want to start a business, because the system can connect all customers to stores nationwide.
Young startups do not have to open a store or rent a space for selling products. Enterprises, cooperatives, and business households participating in the platform do not have to cover internal advertising costs like other e-commerce platforms.
Seizing this opportunity, recently, Bac Giang city-based Thien An One Member Company Limited joined in the Taka e-commerce platform. The company’s representative said that with its experience, the unit is ready to help with free product photographing and video recording, ensuring prescribed standards for stakeholders to connect and introduce products sold on domestic and international e-commerce platforms, especially Taka.

Nguyen Van Tuan, Deputy Director of the Center for Information Technology and Communications under the provincial Department of Information and Communications, said that selling products on e-commerce platforms is an inevitable trend.
Thanks to the support of the province and relevant departments and agencies, many products of businesses, cooperatives, and production and business households in the province have been available on many reputable e-commerce platforms.
To further promote sales efficiency through this form, stakeholders need to make efforts, hone their business skills on digital platforms and comply with the regulations of the e-commerce platform.
