Bac Giang energizes T2 transformer at Vietnam-Korea IP’s 110kV substation
BAC GIANG- The Electricity Grid Project Managing Board under EVN’s Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC) in collaboration with Bac Giang Power Company and related units on August 13 organised an event to accept the project, energize and bring into operation the T2 transformer belonging to the 110kV power substation of Vietnam-Korea industrial park (IP).
The Vietnam-Korea IP’s 110kV substation project is valued at total 113.8 billion VND (4.5 million USD) including T1 and T2 transformers (the project was commenced in March 2023 and the T1 transformer was energized in July 2023).

The project is invested by EVNNPC, managed and supervised by the Electricity Grid Project Managing Board and constructed by Hanoi Industrial Electricity Joint Stock Company.
This is a 2 tier- power project, group C with the construction items including installing the 110/22/10kV transformer (T2) at a capacity of 63 MVA, completing the remote collection, surveillance and control system to connect to the regional remote control center ensuring operation of the unmanned substation and installing the in-door 22kV compact.

When the T2 transformer comes into operation, it will supply power to Vietnam- Korea IP (Viet Yen township) at a scale of 198 hectares, create more medium voltage circuits to support power supply of the 110kV substations in Dinh Tram and Song Khe IPs if necessary, help to reduce power loss and improve the reliability of power supply to the regional power grid in accordance with the power development planning of Bac Giang province.
