The plan is aimed to effectively implement the contents of the EVFTA, realize the main tasks following the Government’s Plan, support the provincial departments, sectors, localities and related units to grasp and implement necessary tasks to make coherent and effective plans with involvement of related agencies and organizations, take advantage of the opportunities from the Agreement while minimize challenges to optimize benefits from the FTA for enterprises and people in the province.

The plan provides 2 implementation phases of the Agreement including:

The 1st phase (in 2020): to focus on issuing related documents to implement EVFTA in the province.

The 2nd phase (from 2021 to 2025): to concentrate on organizing promotion activities and training courses on EVFTA, setting up programmes to enhance competitive capacity of enterprises and sectors in the province with a focus on key sectors of the province.

In order to implement EVFTA, Bac Giang province needs to focus on the main tasks as follows:

Firstly, strengthening propaganda and providing information on EVFTA and market of the countries participating EVFTA.

Secondly, finalizing legal regulations, amending and supplementing economic mechanism and policies of the province and implementing administrative procedure reform when participating EVFTA.

Thirdly, enhancing competitive capacity and developing human resources.

Fourthly, implementing policies related to trade union and labourers’ organizations in the companies.

Fifthly, building and providing synchronous policies on social security, environment protection and sustainable development.

PM approves EVFTA implementation plan
