Bac Giang provincial leader urges Viet Yen to strictly control quarantine sites and returners from pandemic hit localities

(BGO) - Le Anh Duong, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee (PPC), Deputy Head of the provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control, Leader of the provincial Covid-19 Command Center of Bac Giang province on December 27 afternoon paid field trip to Tien Son and Quang Chau communes in Viet Yen district.

Since December 24, Tien Son commune detected 21 Covid-19 patients (F0), 274 people with close contact to F0 (F1) and 945 people with direct contact to F1 while Quang Chau commune detected five F0 in Quang Bieu village.

After local infections were found, the Steering Board for Covid-19 prevention and control (Steering Board) in the district, communes and towns synchronously implement measures to prevent the disease from outside and inside sources as well as urgently lock down Tien Son commune and Quang Bieu village in Quang Chau commune.

After actual infection, PPC Chairman Le Anh Duong highly spoke of the activeness of the Steering Board in Tien Son, Quang Chau communes and Viet Yen district. He ordered the localities to seriously control people with epidemiological factors or those living inside lockdown area.

Basing on the next screening test result, the local authority should evaluate the risk to gradually remove lockdown condition in the village without any new community infection.

Tien Son commune needs to build programme to support farmers in harvesting agricultural products under disease preventive condition.

The Steering Board in communes and Viet Yen district should enhance the management over the cases with symptoms of fever and cough in community or those returning from pandemic hit areas while boosting up communication to help local residence raise awareness about disease situation and prevention.
