On the afternoon of November 20, two more Covid-19 cases were detected in Yen Lu commune. Determining that this cluster poses a risk of community transmission, the Yen Dung district Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control has focused on directing and implementing anti-pandemic measures at higher levels than requested.
Right in the evening of November 19, relevant forces of the district worked with a representative of the packaging company and identified that a workshop where the F0s were found has a total of 99 workers. Of these, in addition to six F0s and some people staying at home, the remaining 25 high-risk F1s (those having close contact with F0s) have been sent to concentrated quarantine while 60 low-risk F1s are isolated at home. Initial investigations show that the F0 cases in this cluster are mostly related to Bac Ninh province, the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the Bac Giang General Hospital, and Yen The district.
Thach Van Chung, Secretary of the district Party Committee, head of the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Yen Dung district, said: "In order to prevent the spread of the epidemic, the district has issued a decision to establish a medical quarantine area covering five villages of Yen Lu commune, including Tan Son 2, An Thai, Yen Son, Thach Xa and Yen Tap Cao with a total of more than 1,000 households and nearly 4,900 people.
Immediately after the lockdown decision was issued, the commune has disinfected places with F0s and set up checkpoints. Currently, community Covid-19 groups in the commune have increased their activities, on the one hand ensuring security and order and strictly controlling cases under medical quarantine at home, and on the other hand grasping the needs, especially for the necessities, of households in the area for timely support.
As of 2 p.m on November 21, related to the cluster at the enterprise in the Noi Hoang IC, there had been 92 F1s and more than 300 F2s. Among them, 29 F1s are teachers and students in a class at the Yen Lu Primary School. For these cases, on the evening of November 20, the district health center took samples for rapid tests and saw negative results.
Actively responding to the development of the epidemic, Yen Dung district asked Luc Nam district to send medical staff to support and coordinate in taking samples for screening testing.

At this time, the operation of three checkpoints located in Tien Phong commune, at the beginning of the road connecting Provincial Road 293 with Provincial Road 299 and Yen Dung bridge to Que Vo district (Bac Ninh) has been tightened. Here, those on duty control all people coming in and out with test results (for people from other provinces and returning from epidemic-hit areas); request those entering the district to scan QR code and have body temperature checked.
Due to infection cases related to students, in the coming time, Yen Dung will pay special attention to anti-pandemic work in schools. In the immediate future, the district agreed to let the students of the Yen Lu Kindergarten leave school and those of the primary and secondary schools in the commune switch to online learning. It will actively take samples for community screening in some villages without F0 in Yen Lu commune...
