Bac Giang ranks first in 2024 National Youth and Junior Rod Pushing Championship
BAC GIANG – The 2024 National Youth and Junior Rod Pushing Championship wrapped up on 16 August after 8 days of exciting competition at the Bac Kan Provincial Gymnasium. The event was jointly held by Vietnam Sports Administration and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Kan province. The Bac Giang delegation excellently won the first overall ranking.
The tournament attracted more than 260 athletes from 16 provinces and cities including Bac Kan, Bac Giang, Binh Phuoc, Lai Chau, Hoa Binh, Yen Bai, Gia Lai, Son La, Lang Son, Ninh Binh, Lam Dong, Kon Tum, Dak Lak, Thai Nguyen, Hai Phong and Ho Chi Minh City.

Athletes competed in 27 events in 14 men's and 13 women's weight categories. There were 360 matches throughout the season.
The Bac Giang delegation had 23 athletes participating in all events and weight categories. With careful preparation and a strong competitive manner, they left a strong impression in this year's season.
The athletes won 17 medals of all kinds, including 7 Gold Medals, 5 Silver Medals, and 5 Bronze Medals, exceeding the target by 2 gold medals.

With such excellent achievements, the Bac Giang delegation won the first overall place.
The gold winners were Hoang Thi Thuy Trang at female’s 41 kg weight group; Ly Thien Thien at female’s 56kg weight group; Lam Van Hung at male’s 38 kg weight group; Ta Duc Phuong at male’s 44 kg weight group; Do Duy Hoan at male’s 53 kg weight group; Nguyen Van Cuong at male’s 68 kg weight group and Tran Van Phuc at male’s 85 kg weight group.
