Nearly 350 athletes participate in National Youth Chess Championship in Bac Giang
BAC GIANG - The 2024 National Youth Chess Championship kicked off on June 24 at the Bac Giang provincial Conventional Center under the joint collaboration of Vietnam Sports Administration, Vietnam Chess Federation and Bac Giang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
This year tourney takes place from June 23 to July 1 with nearly 350 athletes from 13 provinces, cities and clubs across the country.

They are divided into various age groups of U7, U9, U11, U13, U15, U18 and U20 to compete in 4 contents of Men's individual, women's individual, men's team, women's team in various categories of standard chess, traditional chess, rapid chess and blitz chess.
Bac Giang delegation has 33 athletes participating in all 4 events and targets to win 8-10 medals of all types, including at least 1 Gold medal. Some typical athletes of the province include: Phung Bao Quyen, Hoang Manh Hung, Pham Bao Toan, Nguyen Thanh Thao, Tran Tra My.

This is an annual tournament organized by the Vietnam Sports Administration, Vietnam Chess Federation in coordination with units and localities so as to create opportunities for athletes to interact, exchange, learn from experience and improve competition performance. Also, it helps the Organizing Committee select excellent players to participate in international chess tournaments.

BAC GIANG - After two days of competition (June 3 and 4), the Bac Giang team won 59 medals at the 2024 National Jujitsu Youth Championship, including 11 gold medals.
BAC GIANG - The Vietnam Chess Federation on June 3 coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize the closing ceremony of 2024 National Youth Chess Championship at the Bac Giang Provincial Gymnasium (Bac Giang city).
BAC GIANG - On May 27, the Vietnam Administration of Sports (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nam Dinh province to wrap up the National Sambo Club Championships 2024, the first edition of its kind held at a national scale.
For many years of pairing, badminton players Pham Van Hai and Than Van Anh have won hundreds of medals in national arenas. Currently, the young pair is considered one of the brightest pairs in the Vietnamese badminton, with many opportunities to develop and go further.
