Bac Giang receives Vietnamse citizens returning from virus-hit countries

(BGO)- The Bac Giang provincial People’s Committee has implemented the plan to receive Vietnamese citizens who are working and studying in virus-hit countries returning Vietnam to put in quarantine and supervision in the province within 14 days before going back their hometown.

According to the plan, the province will receive 400 cases including 250 cases at 831 Regiment, Ba Lang village, Que Nham commune, Tan Yen district and 150 cases at the provincial Military School on Luong Van Nam street, Dinh Ke ward, Bac Giang city.

Accordingly, the units will receive people returning from affected countries to the isolation areas as handed over from the Military Zone No 1 and localities, ensure necessary conditions for the citizens during their quarantine period, collaborate with the provincial medical department to check, supervise and screen suspected cases and arrange patrol and guard forces to ensure safety in the areas to receive and supervise citizens.

It is required to implement the “onsite” principle to promote capacity and resources of the units and localities, make best use of available facilities, transfer and mobilize units of the provincial Military Command to timely meet the requirements.

In order to ensure health conditions, impose 14-day quarantine since the reception date. In case of different reception campaign, it is necessary to divide into different isolation zones for each reception time.

During quarantine period, the citizens should be provided regular health check. If one has fever, he/she must be brought to the provincial hospital for isolation and testing and transferred to higher -level hospital when being suspected to get the epidemic. After 14 days of isolation and supervision, citizens will be returned to the localities if presenting no symptoms in accordance with the regulation of the Ministry of Health.

It is necessary to check and instruct the related forces to ensure safety and prevent infection when carrying out duties and contacting with isolated people. The regulations and instructions of the Ministry of Health and Ministry of National Defense on epidemic prevention and control must be strictly obeyed.

In order to ensure living conditions, there will be concentrated cooking areas and meals will be provided to each person directly to their rooms for breakfasts, lunches and dinners while ensuring food safety and hygiene following regulated standards.

The citizens will be provided accommodation with sufficient facilities like toilet, bed, blanket, mat, mosquito net, electricity and water supply system and other necessities.
