The Bac Giang provincial Sports Competition Hall was inaugurated in September 2019 after nearly 18 months of construction with total investment of over seven billion VND (over 306,000 USD) from provincial budget.

It will be the competition venue for badminton event at 31st SEA Games.

So far, 90 percent of the workload has been completed to serve the biggest sports festival in the Southeastern Asia.

All seats are cleaned up, repaired and upgraded after three year operation to serve the 31st SEA Games.

The Bac Giang provincial Sports Competition Hall can house 4,500 seats.

It is among the best competition halls in the North with modern lighting system and floor.

The Bac Giang provincial Sports Competition Hall uses smart lighting system that can be switched on/off and programmed per lighting purpose depending on competition demand.

The Director of the Bac Giang provincial Sports Competition and Training Center Bui Ngoc Anh said the competition hall received great investment and attention from provincial leader, helping develop the sports movement in Bac Giang as well as promote local image.

Now, Vietnam National Badminton Team is practicing at the Bac Giang provincial Sports Competition Hall. It will be an advantage for the host to train at the official competition venue.

The Bac Giang provincial Sports Competition Hall will complete all preparation in March to launch a pre-31st SEA Games badminton tourney so as to review the operation stage ahead the official event.
