In September 2019, Hai Dang was born. At that time, his health was so weak that he was kept in a glass incubator for many days. His legs were bent while his skin had abnormal red marks. Huong and her husband took him to hospital for medical examination and were informed that Dang had hemangioma in nerve No. 7 and had to receive intensive treatment. His legs were splint.

During the treatment process, the doctors also found that Dang suffered atrophy of a lung and most recently his eyes had post-void residual (PVR) and retinal detachment, making him blind. On February 19, Dang underwent surgery on his left eye. When it is stable, he will have surgery on his other eye. Treatment costs are huge.

Although half of the costs was covered by insurance, each hospitalization cost his family tens of millions of dong. Every month, Huong and her husband take their child to the hospital several times, while their condition is very difficult. Huong's maternal family is facing economic difficulties.

A few years ago, while working as a hired laborer, she met and loved Nguyen Van Thuan (from Nam Dinh province). They decided to live together. Thuan's situation is also difficult, His father died when he was young, and at the age of 12, his mother had cancer and then died. He had to live with his uncle and aunt. Meeting Huong, Thuan moved to her hometown to live and was lent a house by Huong’s relative.

The couple was gentle and hardworking but unlucky. Their first-born daughter was premature so it is hard for them to raise her. Meanwhile, Hai Dang is seriously ill. The couple just got married so they could not save much money. Every time returning home from hospital, Thuan rushed to work to earn money to pay for medicine and daily necessities but what he earns is too little as compared to spending.
