Base salary to rise to 1.8 million VND per month on July 1, 2023

The base salary for civil servants and public employees will be raised from 1.49 million VND to 1.8 million VND per month starting from July 1, 2023, following a recently issued Government decree.
The Government issued Decree No.24/2023/ND-CP on May 14, stipulating the base salary for nine groups of subjects from July 1, 2023.
The new salary will be applied to civil servants, public employees, armed forces, and retired civil servants. |

The decree states that the base salary will be used as a basis to calculate the salary level in the payroll, allowances, fees, and other financial support as prescribed by law.
The base salary of 1.49 million VND per month has been unchanged since July 1, 2019.
The decree will take effect from July 1, 2023.
