Among them, contestant Cao Minh Son, a student of class 5A2 in Doi Ngo Town Primary School No. 1 (Luc Nam) won first prize in Group A (programming contest for elementary school students).

In the Northern region competition round, 352 candidates participated in Group A (114 candidates took the programming test at the elementary level), Group B (111 candidates took the programming test at the secondary level), Group C (103 candidates took the programming test at the high school level) and Group D (24 candidates took creative software test at the elementary, secondary and high school levels).

The competition included programming knowledge test, practical application skills and creative software design. The organizing committee assessed that this year event has many entries with outstanding quality and innovative software products with high practical application.

The contest was jointly organized by the Youth Union and the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Vietnam Informatics Association in the Northern, Central and Southern regions on July 6, 2024.

After the regional competition round, the Organizing Committee will select excellent candidates to attend the final round of the national youth informatics competition held in August 2024 in Hanoi.
