Accordingly, tour groups of two or more people from the 10 ASEAN countries—Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore, Brunei, Laos, Myanmar, and Cambodia—holding ordinary passports and participating in tours organised by Chinese travel agencies are eligible for visa-free entry.
They can enter and exit through Gasa International Airport, Mohan Railway Port, and Mohan Land Port in Xishuangbanna City.
These tour groups can stay within the administrative boundaries of Xishuangbanna City for a maximum of six days.
A representative from the National Immigration Administration of China stated that this policy is an important measure to promote openness and support Yunnan Province in establishing itself as a hub connecting South and Southeast Asia.
It holds a positive significance in boosting the tourism industry in southwestern China, enhancing people-to-people exchanges between China and other countries, and deepening the China-ASEAN Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
In the near future, China's immigration authorities will continue to enhance institutional openness, attracting more foreigners to visit, conduct business, and invest in the country.
This initiative aims to further stimulate China’s international tourism market and contribute to high-quality development.
