The monthly basic salary for civil servants, public employees and those working in the armed forces will increase to 1.49 million VND (63.9 USD) from 1.39 million VND (59.6 USD) as of July 1, 2019.
The rise is stipulated in Decree 38/2019/ND-CP recently issued by the Government.

The new basic salary will be applied for those working in agencies, organisations and non-production units of the Party and the State, State-funded political-social organisations and associations, along with the armed forces.
The basic salary is used as the basis for calculating salary, allowances and other payments for the groups. It will also be used to calculate operating and living allowances and other deductions and entitlements.
Decree 38/2019/ND-CP will take effect on July 1, 2019, replacing Decree 72/2018/ND-CP dated May 15, 2018.
Deputy PM Vu Duc Dam pays visit to Bac Giang’s enterprises and laborers after Tet holiday

56.7 billion VND spent on Tet bonus to laborers
(BGO) – Ahead of the Lunar New Year festival (Year of the Pig), leaders of Taiwanese invested New Wing Interconnect Technology Company Limited (in Van Trung Industrial Park, Viet Yen district, Bac Giang province) mobilized 56.7 billion VND (over 2.4 million USD) to provide Tet bonus to nearly 12,600 laborers.
