Announcing this, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said Vietnamese exporters will no longer have to provide safety certificates for these products.

However, some local herbs including coriander, mint and parsley will be subjected to a temporary increase in safety controls at border posts.

Vietnamese dragon fruit and instant noodles containing spices/seasonings or sauces will also be subjected to special entry conditions in the EU market to check for contamination risks.

Vietnamese instant noodles have been under the EU scanner since January after some were found containing ethylene oxide, a substance banned in the union.

Quantity of export Chu rice noodle increases

(BGO) –  Luc Ngan district (Bac Giang province) has produced more than 10,300 tonnes of Chu rice noodles for the first nine months of this year, up nearly 1,000 tonnes year on year, 600 tonnes of which were exported, representing 10 percent increase of expanded market. Total commodity value hit nearly 325 billion VND (14.3 million USD).

Exported quantity of Chu rice noodle increases

(BGO) – According to the Division of Economy and Infrastructure in Luc Ngan district (Bac Giang province), the district produced more than 4,000 tonnes of Chu rice noodle in the first quarter of 2021, up nearly 500 tonnes comparing to the same period last year. Total product value hit about 124  billion VND (5.39 million USD).
