Expressway project connects Hai Phong and Chinese locality

The Ministry of Planning and Investment has issued a document collecting opinions on the adjustment of the Dong Dang-Tra Linh expressway project which is invested in the public-private partnership (PPP) form.

The project aims to create linkages among national economic, industrial and tourism areas, and those with northeastern mountainous localities.

According to the ministry, the expressway project will create a new international highway route promoting trade exchange between Lach Huyen international port in northern Hai Phong port city and Trung Khanh district of northern mountainous Cao Bang province with the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of China, Khorgos of Kazakhstan, and European countries.

The project costs nearly 21 trillion VND (895.75 million USD) and comprises of two phases, with the first, from 2020-2024, running from the Tan Thanh border gate in Lang Son province to Phuc Sen commune, Quang Hoa district, Cao Bang province; and the second, after 2025, from Quang Hoa district to the Tra Linh border gate in Cao Bang province.

It is expected to improve economic competitiveness of and promote socio-economic development in Lang Son and Cao Bang provinces.

(BGO) - The Ministry of Transport is considering two investment options for the expansion of Xuong Giang and Nhu Nguyet Bridges on the Hanoi - Bac Giang Expressway in the form of BOT or ODA loans.
Guard rails installed at Expressway passing Van Trung and Quang Chau industrial parks
(BGO) – To prevent the workers and pedestrians from crossing over Hanoi – Bac Giang Expressway, BOT Hanoi – Bac Giang Investment Joint Stock Company has installed steel grid guard rails at both sides and in the middle of median strip at the section from Quang Chau industrial park to Van Trung industrial park (Viet Yen district). 
Transport ministry mulls 42 new expressways to boost national connectivity
The Transport Ministry is working on a draft 10-year (2021-2030) plan under which 42 new expressways will be built at a cost of about VND825 trillion ($35.75 billion).
