Hanoi receives 100,000 locally-made Covid-19 rapid test kits

The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee of Hanoi city received 100,000 Trueline Covid-19 Ag Rapid Test kit, donated by Medicon Co., Ltd. on July 22, aimed at supporting the capital city in its fight against the epidemic.

Medicon is the only unit in Vietnam that produces rapid test kits for the detection of the SARS-COV-2 antigen. Its Trueline Covid-19 Ag Rapid Test product has been effectively used in Vietnam and is trusted by users.

Medicon Co., Ltd. presents 100,000 Covid-19 rapid test kits to the Hanoi chapter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.

Dao Dinh Khoi, Director of Medicon Co., Ltd. said that his company invested significant funds in researching and producing this product. During this difficult time, it has shared with the society through discounts and free support to localities at risk of large-scale outbreaks.

So far, Medicon has sponsored 300,000 test kits nationwide, of which Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi are the two largest recipients with 100,000 each.

Nguyen Lan Huong, Vice Chairwoman of the VFF Central Committee cum Chairwoman of the VFF Hanoi chapter, said that ensuring the people's health is the top goal amid Covid-19.

With several new infections found in recent days, Hanoi needs epidemic prevention equipment, she said, adding that rapid test kits are essential for the local health sector and frontline forces at the 22 checkpoints and medical units throughout the capital city.

The "made in Vietnam" Trueline Covid-19 Ag Rapid Test has been widely used across the country.

In addition to the 100,000 rapid tests awarded by Medicon, the VFF chapter of Hanoi also received and handed over to the Hanoi Department of Health 16,000 rapid tests and two ventilators donated by other units on the same day.

According to the Hanoi Department of Health, as of this noon, the capital city recorded 34 more infection cases, in addition to the 17 others detected this morning.
