The Ho Chi Minh City Peace and Development Foundation and the Ho Chi Minh City's Peace Committee opened the Ho Chi Minh City Peace Culture Day, themed "For a Non-violent Society", in response to the UNESCO Programme of Action on a Culture of Peace and Non-Violence, in Ho Chi Minh City, on October 13.

At the programme, more than 30 non-profit organizations, social enterprises and universities in the city introduced many diverse activities, with topics such as: living in harmony; family and children; School and Youth, Community; and Peace with the environment.

In addition, young people also participated in activities such as: "For a non-violent society"; exchange programmes, performing arts; folk games, and learning about the culture and cuisine of Vietnam.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ton Nu Thi Ninh, President for the Ho Chi Minh City Peace and Development Foundation, expressed her joy as the event received the attention and response from the community, especially young people, along with the participation of more than 30 organizations.
Through this event, she hopes to contribute to raising public awareness of the necessity and significance of building "peace in peacetime" and promoting the basic values and orientations of the peaceful culture to the community.

Bac Giang to organize first “Culture and Tourism Week 2019”
(BGO) – On the 10th anniversary of Quan ho folk song recognized by UNESCO as the Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Humanity, Ca Tru (Ceremonial) singing as world intangible cultural heritage in need of preservation and ripen fruit season in Luc Ngan district, the People’s Committee in the northern province of Bac Giang has assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to hold the first provincial Culture and Tourism Week 2019.
