Impoverished households in Bac Giang get supported

(BGO) – The Red Cross Society (RCS) in Bac Giang province has cooperated with Online Dantri News, Club of Bac Giang Press in Hanoi to present gift to disadvantaged households in the districts of Son Dong, Luc Ngan and Luc Nam.

Knowing about the specially impoverished cases of Vy Thi Sinh (born in 1960) who suffers from late period of Cirrhosis in a miserable family by Agent Orange, Vy Thi Phen (born in 1981) who is under weak health but still works to care for the whole family with three kids and Vu Huy Hoang (born in 2000) who is under critical condition by deep water burn, the provincial RCS supported and suggested Online Dantri News to call on readers and kind-hearted people to donate expense for them to treat the disease and support the school fee.

The permanent Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Council Lam Thi Huong Thanh and representatives hand over supported amount to the family of Vy Thi Phen.

Total donation for these above three persons reached nearly 1.1 billion VND (46,000 USD), including over 635 million VND for Vu Huy Hoang, nearly 342 million VND for Vy Thi Sinh and nearly 83 million VND for Vy Thi Phen.

At the visited addresses, permanent Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Council Lam Thi Huong Thanh asked after the cases and encouraged them to recover the difficulties and overcome in life. She also urged the provincial RCS to continue well implementing the task and cooperating with charity channel to call on donation for humanitarian activity.
