Large volumes of searches for Vietnam tourism information are seen in the US, Japan, Australia, Singapore, India, Thailand, France, Germany, the UK, and the Republic of Korea (RoK).

According to the VNAT, in the first four months of 2023, Vietnam welcomed nearly 3.7 million international visitors, exceeding the figure of 2022, and reaching nearly 50% of the planned target in 2023.

As the demand trend is continuing to increase, the international tourism market is also likely to grow strongly in 2023, especially in the peak season during the last months of the year.

Currently, the RoK will still be the largest market for Vietnamese tourism, followed by the US. Although the Chinese market has just returned, it is already in the third position and is expected to recover at a faster rate than other markets, due to its large market size.

The Chinese visitor market is expected to recover faster from the summer of 2023 and increase sharply in the last months of this year.

Meanwhile, the Australian and Indian markets are having opportunities to increase the number of visitors to Vietnam, with the fact that Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet have just opened direct flights connecting major cities between the two sides.

In Southeast Asia, markets in Thailand and Cambodia are recovering well, similar to the time before the Covid-19 epidemic.
