President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front’s Central Committee Tran Thanh Man presents gifts to the impoverished households in Vo Tranh commune (Luc Nam).

Besides, the VFFC leader gifted a package and 5 million VND (220 USD) to the communal People’s Committee while sending the gift set and 20 million VND (881 USD) to the Bac Giang provincial Center of Social Affairs and Phu Quy Humanitarian Center individually.

The VFFC President acknowledged the great efforts made by the local authorities, the staff and officers of the two Centers to care for the poor, the social and policy beneficiaries. On the occasion of the upcoming traditional Tet holiday, Tran Thanh Man wished they a happy Lunar New Year with health and prosperity.

Additionally, he hoped that the provincial leaders would pay further attention to effectively executing the Government and Party policies on social security while encouraging the staff of the Social Centers to promote the solidarity spirit and recover the difficulties to well fulfill the assigned tasks.

At the same day, the member of Central Party Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Bui Van Hai; leaders of the provincial FFC and Son Dong district together with some enterprises visited and handed over 2,300 Tet gifts to the impoverished people in Son Dong district, each worth 300,000 VND (13.2 USD).

All the gifts were sponsored by the local FFC, Tan Thinh Construction Company Limited, Lam Son Construction and Trading Company Limited and Anh Dao Company Limited.

Presenting gift sets to 60 difficult households in An Ba commune, the Secretary Hai gently asked after their living conditions and expected the locals would overcome the obstacles to welcome a happy and cozy Tet holiday.

The Secretary of Bac Giang provincial Party Committee Bui Van Hai presents Tet gifts to the poor in An Ba commune (Son Dong).

Currently, An Ba commune has 460 poor families, accounting for 48.12 percent of the poverty. Thus, the local authority was urged to develop the economy and support the needy to build effective production models with the communal advantages so as to gradually help them improve their lives while prioritizing the investment in facilities to reinforce the cultural and spiritual life, the education and medical care for the ethnic minority groups in the local area.

Apart from that, the Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Le Anh Duong on February 8 visited and presented Tet gifts to 300 poor households in Yen The district, each worth 300,000 VND. The trip was jointly attended by leaders of Ethnic Board; the provincial Social Beneficial Bank; Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade, Bac Giang branch; Thanh Cong Production, Export and Import Joint Stock Company; Nam Hai Construction and Consultancy Joint Stock Company and Yen The district People’s Committee.

At the destinations, Vice Chairman Le Anh Duong directly handed over 70 Tet packages to the poor in Mo Huong hamlet, Dong Huu commune and Ho Rich hamlet, Ao Can village, Dong Son commune (Yen The). They were the difficult localities in the district, mostly resided by the remote ethnic minority people. The remaining gifts were delivered by the communal FFC to the poor people.

Le Anh Duong took the occasion to extend his wish of a happy New Year to the people and encourage them on actively producing to escape the poverty.
