Luc Ngan establishes women’s e- commercial platform

(BGO) – The district Women’s Union in Luc Ngan district (Bac Giang province) cooperated with the People’s Committee in Hong Giang commune to receive software and debut “Electronic commercial platform” (e-commercial platform) of Hong Giang communal women.

Hong Giang commune develops huge lychee and citrus areas, many households cultivate fruits in line with VietGAP standard. Lychee and citrus fruits are key farm produce that bring major income to the locals.

Hong Giang commune is one of two localities selected by the Department of Science and Technology to pilot digital transformation commune in the province. Promoting the role of women in digital transformation, the district Women’s Union directed the communal Women’s Association to cooperate with the information technology consultant to receive the software and setup “E-commercial platform” of Hong Giang communal women to mark the 113th anniversary of International Women’s Day March 3 (1910 – 2023).

Previously, the Women’s Union joined hands with the consultant to provide training course for local officials, women members and people to operate the platform and establish the Platform Management Board. Currently, “e-commercial platform” of Hong Giang communal women has 15 sample stalls, 7 transaction points and 15 collaborators.

The district Women’s Union strives to have 1,000 booths with 3,000 products sold till the end of this year while 50 percent of women members have stall in the platform with deep knowledge of stall management.
