The Minister noted that the Covid-19 pandemic has been severely affecting all socio-economic fields, including education and training, for nearly two years. The ministry has directed local education authorities to proactively formulate teaching plans that are flexible and also ensure the absolute safety of children.
Under the MOET’s guidelines, the curriculum focuses only on core content while online, offline and television classes are being switched out in a flexible manner depending on the virus situation. Minister Son stated that although the virus is gradually being brought under control, the education sector still faces numerous difficulties.
He pledged that the ministry will strive to use all available resources and capacity to minimise the impacts of the pandemic to the quality of education.
He also expressed his hope that teachers and educational staff, particularly those in mountainous and remote areas and sea and island regions will continue to uphold the tradition to turn risks and challenges into opportunities and motivation for educational innovation as well as for the overall success of the sector.
